“We come to college not alone to prepare to make
a living,
but to learn to live a life.” — M.J. Riggs, 1883
Every student, every
step of the way...
Iowa State University prides itself on providing students the breadth of educational experiences they want from a large research university and the social experiences they’d expect to find at a smaller campus. The Dean of Students Office plays a vital role in these experiences, and we are proud of the contributions each of our departments makes to them. From services that promote academic achievement to programs that support a diverse population, the Dean of Students Office positively affects every student at Iowa State. We estimate more than 70,000 individual contacts with students each year, and hundreds of thousands of contact hours. We’re proud of these numbers, as you will see in this 2009-2010 Year in Review, which demonstrates the range, significance and impact of our departments. We’re committed to collaborating with the university community to find ways to help our students reach even greater success. Let us know if you have any questions or need any resources from us. And after you read our Year in Review please spread the word about how the Dean of Students Office helps students at every step of their Iowa State adventure. |
